Giving Instruction

Did you know giving instructions?, here we will study it.Giving instruction is an expression that used another that other person does what we instruct or request.
Ø  The tense used in giving instruction is simple present.
Ø  Giving instruction is releveance with procedure text.

Ø  Dialogs 1
          Ariel       :  What should we do after we finish the discussion?
          Teacher     :  Please do the exercise on page 51.
          Ariel       :  Yes, Sir.
        The sentense “Please do the exercise on page 51.” is used to give an             instructions or command. When the commanding word is a verb, you use the                                                                        infinitive without to (first formula).
        Examples:    1.   Close the door                                  2.   Open the window
                                 3.   Write the poetry                              4.   Strip the potato
                                 5.   Turn off the computer                    5.   Move the chair

Ø  If you do not use a verb as a commanding word, you use be + adjective(second formula).
        Examples:    1.   Be strong.            2.   Be quiet.                 3.   Be smart.
                                 4.   Be crazy.

Ø  Dialogs 2
Mister   :   Hey! Don’t touch my ulcer.
Fajar      :   Ups. I’m sorry Mister. I’m not deliberate.
Mister   :   Okay. No problem.
        The sentense “Don’t touch my ulcer.” is used to express a prohibition or to forbid someone to do something. When you forbid someone to do something, you use  don’t + verb infinitive without to(third formula).
   
     Example:     1.   Don’t kill him.                                   2.   Don’t cry.
                            3.   Don’t turn off the computer .           4.  Don’t bathed.
                           5.   Don’t throw the bottle.                   6.  Don’t come late.
